Looking for a great way to make a difference in your child's classroom and get to know other caring parents at Huff? Consider volunteering with Project Cornerstone's ABC reading program during the 2014-2015 school year! The commitment is about 3 hours per month, and classes typically have 2 or 3 readers so you won't be working alone. Contact Ariana Menhenett or Laura Norris at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested. Click on the Project Cornerstone logo on the homepage anytime to learn more about the program.
Each year Huff families volunteer to beautify the Huff campus before school starts to make sure it's ready for our little Hawks. Please stop by between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, to help out! Bring hats, sunscreen, water, and any favorite tools or gloves for gardening and/or cleaning.
Adopt a Planter: Can you help beautify Huff in advance of Beautification Day? We are looking for some families to adopt some of the square planters over the summer to get them sanded and ready for planting. The sanding can be done at your leisure over the summer. For more information contact Magda Wilkinson.
Huff and Monta Loma Elementary Schools were selected as two of 424 recipients of the 2014 California Distinguished School Award.
