School Site Council (SSC)

Huff's School Site Council (formerly known as the Huff Advisory Council) is made up of Huff parents and staff who work with the Principal to make decisions and provide feedback on Huff School Site Plan goals in order to provide an enriching educational experience for all students at Huff. Members of the community are invited to attend SSC meetings or to serve as members of the council. Afternoon meetings are held monthly. For more info about the SSC, click here.

Learning Challenges Committee (LCC)

The Learning Challenges Committee of the Los Altos-Mountain View PTA Council strives to foster communication, share information and help children with learning challenges become active and successful participants in the community. The committee is made up of parents, teachers and students in the Mountain View and Los Altos areas who work as a group to represent their needs and concerns to the administration and the school boards.

The committee's philosophy is that the parents can do more for their kids by working together to obtain additional funding for classroom supplies for special needs, provide information on resources and opportunities throughout the community, and share our stories, challenges, tragedies and triumphs with other parents and teachers who understand. The committee welcomes all parents, educators and community members who are interested in the group's work.

English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The English Learners Advisory Committee meets four times a year to discuss issues of importance for students whose first language is not English. ELAC plays an important role in advising the principal on matters involving the English Language Development program, community resources aimed at assisting families of English Learners, and the recognition/celebration of Huff's multicultural learning community. For information about ELAC, please contact our School and Community Engagement Facilitator at enassau@mvwsd.org.
