Bay Area Bike Mobile – Free Bike Tune Ups: Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 11am-2pm
Get ready for Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Day in February by getting a free bike tune up! The BikeMobile is coming to provide free bike tune ups for Huff parents, students and staff! Bring your bikes to the school blacktop on Thursday, January 26 between 11:00am and 2:00pm. The BikeMobile mechanics can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and even replace broken or worn out parts like brake pads, chains, seats, grips and tires. The only thing they can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how it works and how to keep it running smoothly. Space is limited, so please show up early to secure a spot. Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance, safety, and more! This event is brought to you by the Huff School Site Council and Spare the Air Youth.
Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Day - Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Any student who does so will receive a raffle ticket to enter into a drawing for a chance to win a bicycle and a helmet. Click here for more information. This event is brought to you by the Huff School Site Council and the City of Mountain View's VERBS Program.

Colorcycle Marker Recycling Program
Do you have any USED (any brands are accepted) at home or your work place? Instead of tossing them in the trash, let's Colorcycle them! Your child's classroom or the office will have Colorcycle boxes for dropoff. Our 4th grade Girl Scout troop 60840 will continue this recycling effort from last year by collecting and shipping used markers to a Crayola facility to convert them into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to fill vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Please go to http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle.aspx to learn more about Colorcycle.
